American Association of School Administrators, military support, a professional organization for more than 13,000 educational leaders, has created a series of tools and resources specifically focused on supporting the educational success of military-connected students.

Association of University Centers on Disabilities is a resource for local, state, national and international agencies, organizations and policy makers concerned about people living with developmental and other disabilities and their families.

Easter Seals provides education, outreach and advocacy for people living with autism and other disabilities.

National Secondary Transition Technical Assistance Center helps states build capacity to support and improve transition planning, services and outcomes for youth with disabilities and disseminate information and provide technical assistance on scientifically-based research practices.

TASH promotes the full inclusion and participation of children and adults with significant disabilities in their communities.

What Works Clearinghouse is an initiative of the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences. It was created in 2002 to be a central source of scientific evidence for what works in education.

Autism spectrum disorder

Autism Speaks focuses on funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism, increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. In 2007, it launched Autism Votes, which is a comprehensive grassroots advocacy program, coordinating activist efforts in support of federal and state legislative initiatives. National Autism Center promotes the identification and usage of evidence-based practices for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorders promotes the use of evidence-based practices for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders.

Organization for Autism Research focuses on using applied science to answer questions of parents, families, individuals, teachers and caregivers related to autism.

Emotional/behavioral disorders

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports is a technical assistance center established by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs to give schools capacity-building information and technical assistance for identifying, adapting and sustaining effective schoolwide disciplinary practices.

Intellectual disability

American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities advocates for quality of life and rights for those with intellectual disabilities.

The Arc is a national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
